Naomi Watts
Naomi Ellen Watts was born 28 September 1968. Her family relocated to Australia and she made her debut in film in the drama For Love Alone (1986) and then appeared in three shows on television, Hey Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ (1991) and Home and Away (1991), and the film Flirting (1991). Watts made the move to America in the year 2000. She initially struggled as an actress. In reality she only managed to take small roles in films prior to becoming an actress of the future in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive psychological thriller. Her rise to fame internationally was brought about by this part. Watts then portrayed a tortured journalist in the film adaptation of The Ring (2002). Her performance as the mother grieving in Alejandro's 21 Grams (2003) was nominated her for the Academy Award. Her popularity has grown when she appeared in I Heart Huckabees (2004).
