Rose McGowan

 

Rosa Arianna "Rose") McGowan was born September 5 in 1973. She is an American actress. McGowan's debut film appearance was in the comedy Encino Man (1992), however she was recognized for her role in The Doom Generation (1995) which earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut Performance. McGowan's debut came in the horror movie Scream in 1996. Later, she became the main character in Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Going All the Way (1997). McGowan was well-known for her role in Charmed which was a supernatural-themed drama series on WB from 2001 to 2006. Quentin Tarantino directed her double-feature film Grindhouse (2006), in which she received the Saturn Award for Best Actress and the Scream Award to Best Scream Queen. In 2014, McGowan appeared in Chosen the action-thriller show. The actress released Planet 9, her first album as a studio artist in the year 2018, and a repackaging was done in 2020. McGowan was dubbed one of the Silence Breakers in 2017 by Time magazine. This award acknowledges McGowan's efforts to combat sexual assault and harassment specifically in the context of Harvey Weinstein cases of sexual abuse and the Me Too movement. Brave is her memoir. Citizen Rose was her documentary series. Both were released in 2018.
