Jennifer Carpenter Bio

American actress Jennifer Leann Carpenter was conceived on December 7 1979. Her credits include Debra Morgan in a Showtime series for which she was awarded a Saturn Award in 2009. She also played Rebecca Harris, whose role was on the CBS television series Limitless. She was chosen to play Erica Shepherd, a leading role in NBC's drama The Enemy Within. Carpenter's performance on The Exorcism of Emily Rose was her first major hit. She took home the 2006 MTV Movie Award for "Best Frightened Performance", and also received an "Hollywood Life Breakthrough Award". At the 2006 Scream Awards, she was named "Breakout Actor". In 2007, she began dating her Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall. They got married in California on New Year's Day 2008. Hall and Carpenter issued a statement in December 2010 saying that they had been separated "for some time". However, they are still close friends. Carpenter and Seth Avett got engaged in February of 2015. Carpenter was 8-and-a half months pregnant when she appeared on Limitless' pilot episode. Carpenter and Avett were wed in May of 2016.
