Padma Lakshmi Bio

Padma Parvati Lakshmi, a daughter of Padma Parvati Lakshmi, was born in Chennai, India, on September 1st 1970. Lakshmi's parents divorced when she was 2 years old. Her mother emigrated to America to escape Indian stigma. Lakshmi lived for two years with her grandparents, in Chennai, before she came to the United States. She has a younger half-brother from her father's side and a younger sister. Both her parents later divorced. Lakshmi, who shares her last name with the Hindu goddess of prosperity and wealth, grew up first in New York and then in Los Angeles with her mother and stepfather. Her family visited her in India several times a year, and then returned for several months. Padma Lakshmi became interested in acting in 1999. She appeared in "Figlio of Sandokan", an Italian Pirate film. Next she was cast in "Caraibi" (Pirates: Blood Brothers) that is a drama about 17th-century pirates. Also, she hosted Italy's top-rated TV show 'Domenica In.' In 2001, she did an amusing supporting role as a disco-singing singer in  the film 'Glitter' which was an American movie. Padma has one daughter named Krishna Thea Lakshmi Dell, with Adam Dell who is a venture capitalist. Krishna was born on February 20, 2010, at the age of 20. She also has dated Teddy Forstmann, the ex-chairman and CEO of IMG. Lakshmi and American venture capitalist Adam Dell have a daughter, Krishna. Lakshmi later disclosed the identity of the father to her child however she kept it under wraps initially. The girl said to her daughter, "Everything is better when she's there." From the very beginning to the end of the day, everything can be done. I don't have the attention span to pay attention to any other person than her.
