Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born May 12, 1972. Most well-known is her role as attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she was awarded the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. The show also starred her in the NBC series Whitney (2011)-2013, ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 as well as TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was the executive assistant for the United States Navy, while her father was an agent with the Naval Investigative Service; her family was frequently moved during her early years, including Washington, D.C. and Arizona and also in Japan. Following the footsteps of her grandfather and father She was interested in drawing, painting and building from the age of a child. She continued pursuing the visual arts, but had a growing passion for acting and was introduced to contemporary theater at the age of college. In 1994 she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. In college, Seehorn was looking to enter the theater industry, thanks to being encouraged by her acting coach. In order to be noticed she took on the ancillary positions in D.C.'s theater industry. When she did manage to get major roles in local theater productions and had to take on odd jobs in order in order to survive however, she continued working in the field of film as an instructional filmmaker. She soon started getting parts in more television productions often playing roles that she regarded as "very humorous, sarcastic, and well-informed women" which was similar to her favorite actress Bea Arthur. These roles were often cancelled after only one or two seasons. Seehorn was cast in Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, who is a lawyer , and also the love of Jimmy McGill/Saul (Bob Odenkirk).
