Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25, 1968) is a Canadian actor and singer from Canada. She is most famous for her roles as Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor, in the television show Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the lead character on Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She has also been an actress in films like RoboCop 3: Most Wanted, as well the independent film Chutney Popcorn (which she also co-directed) and The Acting Class (which was written by her). Hennessy was a native of Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and an executive in marketing and sales. His job required extensive travel, which resulted in many changes for the family. Maxine Her mother, also known as Maxine died in 1982. Her daughter was left under the care of Eleanor Her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister and is a Canadian magazine writer and host. Hennessy is of Irish, French and Swedish descent, as well as Ukrainian Roma and Austrian ancestry. She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was where she graduated. She would busk in Toronto's subway. Hennessy was the younger sister of her brother who made their acting debut in 1988 as twin call-girls in the TV show Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who ultimately got the role, said that she was shortlisted to portray Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role ran for three seasons. The show ended in 1996.
