Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli American singer and actress was born on 20th October 1983 in Herzliya. She began her career while she joined the Israeli Defense Forces. In 2003 she starred in an Israeli movie. This was her first big break. She also appeared in two Israeli television shows at the time. She also attempted to make music and recorded several songs in collaboration with Subliminal, an Israeli rapper. Tal moved in the city of New York with her sister. In New York, she collaborated with Haitian artist Wyclef Jean in the song "Party to Damascus". American television also helped her make a name for herself, beginning by playing a regular part in the show Veronica Mars. She initially attempted to audition for the role of the lead but the creator Rob Thomas created a new character for her. Then, Tal was offered a regular role of the CBS series. Before making the move to New York, Tal starred in two Israeli TV programs. Wyclef Jean recorded a hit song. Her first language is Hebrew. She was second in the role as Veronica in Veronica Mars (2004).Originally she auditioned for Veronica Mars (2004) and was Rob Thomas' second choice to play the title role. Thomas was so in love with her that he chose to play the role of Meg Manning for her. He served in The Israel Defense Forces. Both of her parents are Jews. Her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish. The actress plays Adrian Monk's daughter in the episode that aired last night.
