Rosamund Pike

Born in London in 1979, Rosamund Elizabeth Pike is an actress. She was the only child to a classical violinist mom Caroline (Friend) as well as an opera singer father Julian Pike. Her childhood was spent traveling around Europe due to her parents' work. Pike attended Badminton School in Bristol, England and started acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike was just 23 years old when she made her debut in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then discovered by an agent and was signed. Her first film was a big-budget action flick. But her subsequent film work was primarily in independent films such as Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). For which she was awarded the Best Supporting Actress award in The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) was a film that featured Pike as one of the Bennet girls. After a brief time in Hollywood, Doom (2005) and Fracture (2006) and Fracture (2006), she returned to film with impressive performances in three lesser films. She also appeared in Johnny English Reborn (2011) and the sci-fi drama Wrath of the Titans (2012). Pike made a return to action movies as the lead actress opposite Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher (2012).
