Milena Govich

Milena Govich is a producer, actor actress, musician, and actor who has directed a number of episodes of TV that include The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) and Chicago Fire (2012), among others. Milena served as the Co-EP/Producing Director of Dick Wolf's CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently working on two pilots. Milena was among eight women selected by AFI's highly regarded Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Her short film and TV series proof-of-concept , Unspeakable which starred Laura Vandervoort and Jeff Kober has was screened at its World Premiere at SXSW and won the Best Episodic Award at the Seattle International Film Festival and Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) has been screened across the nation and was awarded the Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor Milena has appeared in close to 100 episodes of television. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006), the Dick Wolf series, was her second leading role. It led to her being awarded the Emmy for best female detective on Law & Order (1990). She has also been featured or reprised on a variety of other showslike K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family); and as Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena also appeared in a number of films, including Sordid Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011) as a co-star with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She also appeared in a movie with Method Man. The native of Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian of her high school before completing her double major in vocal performance and premed, with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma, and also being valedictorian of her graduation. Then, she capitalized on her ballet education to make an appearance on Broadway in the production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
