Jessica Lucas started 2013 on a rather sad note. In April, after a few months of costarring in Cult (which was released on the 19th of February in 2013), the show was canceled. Later that season, CW broadcast the remaining shows. It was not a great experience being as part of an 13-week drama show which was cancelled in the start. On the upside, her acting career seemed to be improving in increments. Jessica Lucas starred as Michael B. Jordan's American wife in the film That Awkward Moment. The film was released in the early part of 2014. She's having an affair with her husband and has obviously the upper hand when it comes to their relationships. Lucas is a great actor in every scene, in spite of the fact that it's mostly a buddy story. Also, she is a force in the few scenes in Paul W.S. Anderson period action-adventure film Pompeii. Shenae Grinsey, AnnaLynne McCord or Jessica Stroup were soon to join her on the four seasons of 90210. In 2009, she was part of the cast of what became the most success reboot of the hit 90s show, Melrose Place playing a wholesome elementary-school educator Riley Richmond.
